ANBENFIRE Firefighting Helmets Enter Cooperation with Turkish Turnout Gear Manufacturer

Oct 16, 2026

ANBENFIRE has entered a cooperation with Projacket, a Turkish manufacturer of firefighter turnout suits and structural firefighting ensembles. The two companies will work together on helmet-to-suit integration, joint fitting trials and combined market development in Turkey and selected export markets.

The interface is the problem nobody certifies

Protective equipment is tested item by item. A helmet is certified as a helmet. A suit is certified as a suit. But nobody wears a helmet or a suit — a firefighter wears both at once, over a hood, under a collar, with a breathing apparatus on their back.

The consequence is a gap that appears where the helmet, the hood and the coat collar meet. If the geometry does not line up, heat, steam and combustion particles can reach the neck — a failure mode that never shows up on either product's test report. It shows up in the field.

That is the problem this cooperation is built around.

What the cooperation covers

  • Joint fitting trials. ANBENFIRE helmet shells and retention systems are fitted against the partner's turnout coats across the full size range, with the hood and collar in place, to confirm the interface holds on different neck lengths and head sizes.
  • Colour and trim alignment. Helmet trim, reflective configuration and visor tint matched to the partner's garment specification, so a department ordering a complete ensemble receives gear that reads as one system rather than two purchases.
  • Compliance alignment. The helmet is developed against EN 443:2008 — Helmets for fire fighting in buildings and other structures — which covers impact, penetration, heat and flame resistance, electrical insulation and retention system strength. The suit falls under EN 469. Both are placed on the market under EU PPE Regulation 2016/425, and the cooperation ensures the two declarations of conformity describe equipment that was actually tested together.
  • Joint market development. Combined offers for Turkish municipal departments and industrial fire brigades, and for export markets where a European-standard ensemble is specified.

CEO at ANBENFIRE, said: "[Placeholder — suggested direction: the helmet cannot be designed in isolation from the suit, and this cooperation lets us test the interface rather than assume it.]"

CEO at Projacket said: "[Placeholder — suggested direction: why they chose an ANBENFIRE helmet to sit with their garments, and what departments asked for.]"

Next steps

The first jointly specified build — the ensemble photographed above — is now in evaluation with more then 10 departments / distributors in Turkey. Both companies expect to publish a combined specification sheet covering helmet, suit and hood compatibility within 5 years.
